Brown People Films was started in 2020 by Abhinav Dubey and Mangeshi Dronkar.

Abhinav was born in Bhopal and completed his course, MA in Filmmaking from the Northern Film School, Leeds.

Mangeshi was born in Indore and graduated from Whistling Woods International, Mumbai with BA in Filmmaking.

They have embarked on the journey of making cinema and creative visual content Independently, so far they have made two short films and a feature in the post production stage.  Their short film Marigold was acclaimed Internationally in the film Festivals like LSFF, BISFF, IFFM, as well as making it in the top 20 at the Quinzaine des Cineastes. Their body of work focuses on authentic and raw storytelling.
